SHIATSU INTENSIVE TRAINING

Shiatsu is a therapeutic massage technique developed in Japan with the basis of traditional Chinese medicine.
With shiatsu massage you can treat different ailments, from muscle or joint pain, to migraines or anxiety, among many others.
To apply it, the therapist must acquire a specific mental state, so its study involves great knowledge and personal development.

The course program, both online and face to face, is as follows:

MODULE 1. Shiatsu Namikoshi.
Acknowledgment, practice and points map. Differential characteristics of the Shiatsu application

  1. Introduction to the concept of Shiatsu. Benefits. Menken effect. Perpendicularity,
    breathing and weight projection. Therapist position. Work from Hara. Postural hygiene and selfcare
    exercises for the therapist.
  2. Shiatsu application on arms, legs and head. Supine position.
  3. Active listening. Meditation. How do we balance the body’s energy? Kyō/Jitsu. Ho/Sha Technique.
  4. Shiatsu application on the back, chest and abdomen.
  5. Other forms of application of Shiatsu. How to deal with pain.
  6. Consolidation and practice.

MODULE 2. Shiatsu Masunaga.

12 main energy channels and its related emotions. Theory of traditional Chinese medicine. Treatments for re-balance energy: shiatsu zen/iokai, points for shiatsu pressure in traditional acupuncture points. Shiatsu stretching. Emotions related with every channel and associated symptoms.

  1. The five movements in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Relation between elements and emotions. How emotions works. Self-stretching of meridian charts.
  2. Energy physiology. Lung Channel.
  3. Large intestine Channel.
  4. Stomach Channel.
  5. Spleen Channel.
  6. Heart Channel.
